A couple months ago I was telling my friend Nadine(Nadz) about our trips to Metro. She expressed some interest in going some time, but there was alot of scheduling conflicts, school, work ect. A few days before the trip we tried again to set up a time and for the first time and it ended up panning out.

We left town around 3pm and headed to Metro. We were in the hospital and on the dining hall roof by 4:30(pretty good time considering we live 15 minutes outside Providence). When we get on the roof I asked Nadz where she wanted to go. She was pretty adiment about wanting to see the dorms, but before I showed her the flooded tunnel leading to them, I wanted to show her some of the campus so we headed up to the CTG roof so I could show her some of the campus.

After seeing some of the campus, we headed back into the tunnels. A few minutes of walking and we were under the canteen we headed down the stairs leading towards the male home. The water level had definately dropped, but it was still going to be difficult to get down there. Nadz and Chas start walking further thinking the water was going to stay an inch deep but they jump back as soon as they realize otherwise.

I suggested that they climb the pipes, thinking that they wouldn't. Someone told me that the male dorm was pretty boring so i was hoping my suggesting would be thought of like this "thats too much work. what else is here?" but next thing I know Nadz hops up on the pipes and starts climbing down towards the dorms, Chas follows. Keti and I decided to wait until they quit and turn around. A few minutes later Nadine yells from the other end asking if we are comming. So we jump up and climb the pipes too.

About halfway down the pipes Keti is just like "FUCK THIS", takes off her shoes and socks and just walks, thought the water. She said it was really cold and just ran to the end. As I was continueing to climb i ended up cutting and bruising my arm to the point of it looking like i was a junkie. i also slammed my knee on a support so i was pretty beaten up when I got to the end.

Upon getting into the male home we regrouped and started checking it out. This was the first time in there for all of us. There wasn't much in there. About half a dozen rooms had stuff in them, mostly old clothes. There was one room with old trophies strewn about all over all of the clothes on the floor. We went up into the attic which was covered in bird shit. In the basement we found a bunch of unused trashbags. On the way back we used them. I took off my shoes an socks and genrally just used the bags to see ow well that method worked. None of us climbed back. Nadz was about to but Chas ended up carrying her. He and Keti both used the trash bags with shoes.

As soon as I hit the water I knew why Keti was making such a HUGE deal about how cold it was. I rushed to the other end. Keti and Chas both had problems with the bags. Chas ended up dropping them and like I said he carried Nadine back.

Despite Chas and Keti being wet we decided to hit up the the Med building. I've never really known where we were when we were in there before. Today was a lot better, we didn't get lost once. We made it up to one roof, then another, then finally the tower. All of these places were a first for me. I got to see alot of the campus from the roofs and the tower, which I hadn't seen since December. So overall this was a very good trip. All of us had fun.
