Yeah, Cause we Rock
We cleaned up one room real nice

The Mill, as we call it, was originally a jewelry manufacturing plant. Later it was turned into many stores and studios. When we found it Chas and I weren’t actually sure it wasn’t still active. We asked some local old fogies, including but not restricted to Chas’s dad. He said of course that he’d prefer that we don’t go in there but it was in fact condemned.

After meeting up with Keti the three of us devised a plan. We made our way inside and found a plethora of stuff trashed everywhere. We definitely weren’t the first people in here since it was shut down. It looked like not only did people go in here and trash the place, but many people lived here too.

For three days straight as soon as Chas was out of school the three of us would go down there and explore as much as we could before the sun went down. At the time I remember it being what I though was the single coolest abandoned building I’d ever seen. There was so much stuff left behind in some places. It looked like everyone just up and left one day, with no time to pack. Some areas look as if they hadn’t been touched since the last day the building was opened. Most of it, however, was pretty trashed.

After a week or so we stopped going to the mill, but before we left we un-trashed one room and set up some couches in case we ever came back so we’d have a place to chill. We later hung out in that room and took a group picture while showing the mill to our friend Ply and some of his friends.

Although the pictures I have don’t show it, the mill is one of the coolest places I’ve been to.
