A Squatter's House3/2004
A Rear View of Most of the Property Presumably at one point it was up for rent The Very Open kitchen

On the return trip from an abandoned Air Force Radar Station. Greg and I decided to stop by the abandoned house Keti had told me about. We passed by missing it the first time, turned around and parked at a nearby nature trail and walked over to the house. There was three buildings on the property, all abandoned. The first an enormous shack. Mother nature had destroyed this thing, the second a huge garage, and the third the one bedroom house.

We circled the shack taking pictures from all angles. I looked inside but it was completely emptied. This thing was big though. I'd say pretty close to the size of the actual house. It looked to be pretty badly built, which is why it had taken such a beating from just the New England weather.

We then walked over to the garage. Right in the doorway there was a matress. It was becomming pretty apparent this was a sqautting place for locals. Inside the garage there was at least two car engines laying on the ground and various car internals. There was also a very interesting door lying on the ground with the word SIGNS in capitol letters across the top. Possably the last name of the former occupants? We headed over to the house after viewing the relatively empty garage.

The house was very easy to get into. The back door was open, maybe even missing. I cant clearly remember. I was very tired at this point. The kitchen floor was covered in payroll printouts, and there was a calendar dated September 1989 on the floor near the stove, a for rent sign was on the counter covered in dust. In the living room there was a couple couches a desk and the debris of other furnshings. The bathroom was really creepy, but so is every other dark abandoned bathroom. There was a small den with a fire place and a couple of chairs set up. the bedroom was really dark and there was a bed set up. Like I said it looked to be a place for squatters. We exited the building to get some external pics, then headed home.
