 The Fort spans the coastline
Me and Brett at the highest point

In preparation for anything that could possibly go wrong I woke up wicked early. Soon after I woke up Brett came online, so I invited him to come along. I woke up Keti and picked her up.
I had wanted to go to the forts on Jamestown Island since I started getting into exploring. Something always got in the way. Eventually on a very cold day in February, Keti and I, along with our good friend Brett, made our way down there.
I hadn’t been there since I was 11 or 12 years old, but I remember clearly that I thought it was cool, and that there were seemingly miles of tunnels. Everything seems a lot bigger when you’re a kid, because at the time you’re half the size. This fort didn’t let me down though. The fort if anything, was actually bigger than I remember.
There was graffiti everywhere. Some was good but most very, very bad. Brett loved the graffiti, so Keti and I told him how it’s all over the places we explore. That’s where I think something clicked in Brett’s brain and he started liking the idea of exploring. Almost immediately he started asking about going on other trips, even to places with relatively no graffiti. I think Brett is going to love his first asylum.
