Keti and I decided to go on a picnic sometime earlier in the week. We chose a spot that bordered an old abandoned ski area in town. I’m not sure exactly why we decided to have a picnic in February seeing as it’s really, really cold. After the picnic we headed over to the ski area and took some pics of the old lift falling to pieces after years of neglect.

The ski area has a j-bar lift, a lift operator shed, and one building, presumably for skiers, but as all of this is on town property with a active fire watch tower less than 100 feet away we decided trying to enter the building would be stupid. Instead we walked down the hill for the lift.

At the bottom we found that the ending area of the slopes was now kind of like a marsh. and the slopes themelves were kind of rocky, and overgrown. not very much here but we got some nice pictures on the way down. The walk up was rought because we're smokers so the walk anywhere is tough. Back at the top we went over the the skiers building and took some pics, before heading back to the car.
